# Listing Object

**Listing Object**

## Rental listings

A rental listing needs a `listing_rental_settings` row. Setting the listing
type, stock, and active status alone does not enable rentals. Configure the
rental settings after creating the listing:

Once settings are configured, check availability for the requested rental
window:

The rental settings support the rate unit and amount, minimum and maximum
duration, buffer time, deposit amount, and rentable unit count. There is no
separate approval step or account-level rental enablement.
